4th & King Station is the northern terminus for Caltrain in San Francisco. Caltrain passengers can transfer to Muni services to downtown and other parts of San Francisco.

Paying the fare
Ticket machines are available on the King Street sidewalk (Caltrain plaza) and on the entryway to the N Judah platform on King St. You can buy your ticket there (change is given) and keep it as proof of payment.
You can also pay fare onboard the T Third Street car when boarding. Keep the transfer as proof of payment.
Muni passes are sold at the Caltrain ticket office.

To downtown, you can take either the N or the T. Just outside the Caltrain station building by King Street, an overhead electronic sign shows the real-time departure information for these trains.
