Connect Card is a smart card fare-payment system for Sacramento region. Connect Cards are accepted on Sacramento RT, e-tran, El Dorado Transit, Folsom Stage Line, Placer County Transit, Roseville Transit, South County Transit/Link, Yolobus, and Yuba-Sutter Transit.

Card features
- Riders can use the same card to transfer between different transit providers
- Transfer discounts and fare upgrades are automatically applied.
- Riders with card can earn a day pass (daily fare cap) on selected agencies by using the fare with cash value loaded on card without having to purchase a pass in advance.
- If the card is registered, the owner can restore balance in the event of loss, theft, or damage
- Values on the card can be replenished automatically with autoload.
Card drawbacks
- Requires riders to tap the card at the reader when boarding Light Rail each time, even if they already have a valid pass.
- Fare values added online may take up to 48 hours to appear on the card.
- Card cannot be obtained or reloaded at Sacramento RT Light Rail ticket vending machines.

How to pay with the card
Simply tap the card on the the Connect Card reader and hold it for a beep.
- On buses, Connect Card reader is located near the front door.
- On Sacramento RT Light Rail, Connect Card reader is located on the station platform.
