The Lake Tahoe region is a major tourist attraction in the United States. The region spreads across two states and multiple counties on both states. Two major transit agencies provide local transit service along the shores of Lake Tahoe (BlueGO, Tahoe Truckee Area Regional Transit). A number of public and private providers offer airport shuttles (North Lake Tahoe Express, South Tahoe Express) and seasonal shuttles (Night Rider, East Shore Express, Truckee Transit).
