Cash fares

Transfers

Transfers issued by Marin Transit are accepted by other Marin Transit routes as well as Golden Gate Transit service within Marin County.

Transfers issued by Golden Gate Transit and Ferry are accepted on Marin Transit.

Prepaid fares

Value cards/pass

$18 and $36 cards are for Marin County travel only. A fare of $1.80 is charged on the card instead of the $2.00 cash fare. Ticket books are available in limited retail outlets.

Unlimited used pass for local Marin County travel is also available. Day pass can be purchased on buses.

Youth pass

This is a 6-month pass available to youths under the age 18 attending in a participating Marin County school. A sticker will be attached to the student's ID card. The pass is good on all Marin Transit routes and local routes operated by Golden Gate Transit. It is not valid on mainline regional Golden Gate Transit routes.

Students from low income families are eligible for free youth passes.
