SamTrans is the countywide bus system in San Mateo County. It provides local transit in Atherton, Belmont, Brisbane, Burlingame, Colma, Daly City, East Palo Alto, Foster City, Half Moon Bay, Menlo Park, Millbrae, Pacifica, Portola Valley, Redwood City, San Bruno, San Carlos and San Mateo. Many SamTrans routes connect with Caltrain and/or BART. SamTrans operates service to Downtown San Francisco and connects with VTA at Palo Alto Station.
