Ticket machines are available at every VTA Light Rail station. They may be located on the platforms or at the stairways leading to the platforms.
Ticket machines sell:
- One way ticket (valid for 4 hours throughout the system)
- Excursion pass (valid only on light rail for 8 hours)
- Day pass (local buses and light rail)
Ticket machines can also add pass products or e-cash values onto existing Clipper cards.
Ticket machines accept:
- Cash (change provided)
- Day pass tokens
Ticket machines will eventually accept credit and ATM cards in the future.
Passengers must have a valid ticket or pass when riding the light rail.
