Inbound means buses going toward Downtown. Outbound means buses going toward Ocean Beach.

This line runs between 8th Ave and Downtown when 5R-Fulton Rapid bus line is running. When 5R is not running (night and weekend), 5 operates local service between Ocean Beach and downtown. Buses operate between Ocean Beach and Civic Center only (no downtown service) between 12:45am and 5:00am.
