Points of interest
Historic streetcars
F-Market & Wharves streetcar from Downtown San Francisco and the Ferry Building serves the heart of the Fisherman's Wharf area. The streetcar however can especially be crowded on weekends.
Cable cars
The area is served by two cable car lines from the Union Square area.
The terminal for the Mason line is on on Taylor Street and Bay Street. The terminal for the Hyde line is on Hyde Street and Beach Street. Each terminal features a turntable to turn the cable cars.

Golden Gate Transit
Most commute buses that serve the Financial District also serve the Fisherman's Wharf area. There's no service outside of weekday rush hours.

From BART and Muni Metro, transfer to Muni bus or F streetcar to the Fisherman's Wharf area:
- Embarcadero Station > F-Market & Wharves
- Montgomery Station > 8X (return buses serve Powell Station)
- Powell Station > Powell-Hyde or Powell-Mason cable car
From Caltrain 4th & King Station, transfer to Muni 30-Stockton bus to the Fisherman's Wharf area.
