Directions to and from Union Square.

Union Square is a regional shopping district in San Francisco. Unlike most malls, Union Square provides a big-city downtown shopping experience. Parking in the area is not free, but is served by a number of transit routes.

BART and Muni Metro

Powell Station serves the Union Square shopping district. It is only 2 to 3 blocks from the Union Square park itself.

Historic streetcars

F-Market & Wharves streetcar stops on Market Street by 4th Street and by 5th Street.

Cable cars

Cable car lines that stop at Powell Station serve Union Square:

Passengers may also board or disembark the cable cars at flag stops along Powell in Union Square.

Bus - Muni

These routes stops in the Union Square area north of Market Street.

Caltrain

Muni provides direct connection from Caltrain to the Union Square area:
