El Cerrito del Norte is a major transfer point between BART and buses operating throughout the North Bay and the northern part of East Bay. The station is the only BART station with a community group dedicated to it. The group is the Friends of El Cerrito del Norte.

Ticket machines for BART are located at the ground level station concourse. This station features side platforms. See sign for destination before heading to the platform.

AC Transit
When transferring from BART, you can get a free BART to bus transfer before leaving the paid area. The transfer provides discounted one way fares on AC Transit.
WestCAT
WestCAT provides service to Hercules and Rodeo.
Regional bus
Additional buses provide service to the North Bay.

Reserved spaces require:
- BART monthly reserved parking permit
- BART long term airport parking permit
- BART single day reserved permit - $3
Parking gets full at the station by 7:30am. To pay the daily parking fee, remember your space number, enter through the faregates into the paid area and pay at an add fare machine.
