This is the western-most stop on the Martin Luther King Jr. East Busway in Downtown Pittsburgh. Besides East Busway routes, it is also a first and last stop for other local and express routes as buses go out or into service.

The stop is next to the Amtrak Station where the main entrance is on the other side of the historic depot which has turned into an apartment building.

The light rail platforms are not served by any regular rail service.
